    Junior Account Manager (Packaging)

    Job description

    Job Purpose

    To support the Account Manager in the efficient management of packaging accounts, ensuring the accurate and timely flow and execution of all work designated from brief to execution as well as all duties associated with the Clicks Packaging artwork process.

    Job Objectives

    • To manage the briefing process (for concept and packaging), ensuring there is a clear understanding of the requirements, that accurate information is provided on the brief, costs are approved and allocated and timing plans are established and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
    • To ensure weekly priorities are agreed with the PRC to ensure most high value and strategic projects are prioritised.
    • To develop and maintain relationships between all key stakeholders in Private Label (New Product Development, Technology, Category teams), BTB (Beyond The Blue) as well as external stakeholders for the purpose of ensuring progress on projects is done according to client specifications and deadlines.
    • To receive all concept briefs from the PRC and brief into studio.
    • To ensure brand consistency is maintained.
    • All packaging briefs will be sent to the AM from the PL buyer. The AM is to then open the job-bags and complete all relevant information required including job number, brief, print / media /creative spec and deadlines.
    • To co-ordinate the artwork sign-off process/traffic process between BTB Designers, Packaging, Technology, NPD and Category teams.
    • To ensure deadlines are met, accurate and timeous delivery of information and print instructions of final artwork is given to printers.
    • To manage the sourcing of samples and references.
    • To attend status meetings and receive and communicate accurate and timeous updates of information to stakeholders, including job bag cover sheet and content, status reports and minutes of meetings attended.
    • To assist with general administrative tasks associated with the packaging process, including the filing of all hard copy concept and packaging briefs and e-filing of all packaging documentation including version control.

    Job Related Knowledge

    • Knowledge of advertising and marketing concepts and principles
    • Knowledge and understanding of client briefs and its application

    Job Experience

    • Minimum 2 years experience in an advertising agency(Desirable)
    • 1 year working experience in Packaging/Design (Essential)

    Education

    • Matric (Essential)
    • National Diploma in Marketing/Packaging (Desirable)
