Reports to: Finance Manager

Overall Purpose

To ensure the holding & subsidiary companies’ financial accounts meet all statutory requirements & to project manage the annual external audit.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• BComm Degree
• Financial accounting experience (1-2 years)
• Technical competence (accounting)
• Competent in MS office
• Expert competencies in MS Excel
• Articles an advantage

Key Requirements

• Preparing and maintaining the companies accounting records
• Working Capital Management
• Preparation of Audit Working Papers and Assisting Auditors with queries
• Well versed in MS Offices Packages (Particularly Excel & Databases), proprietary software packages
• Risk & Control
• Calculation and submission of Tax Returns (incl provisional tax)
• Reconciliation and Payment of VAT & EMP201
• Supervision & training of Junior Accounting Staff
• Assist Financial Manager with ad hoc analysis/forecasting & investigations.
