Introduction

Purpose:

Reporting to the InfoSec Manager, the successful candidate will as a member of the Security Support team and be required to effectively assist in managing the organisations’ network and security services.

Specification

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Excellent understanding of core security monitoring and response services process, technology, and governance; including attack detection, vulnerability management, security incident management, and threat intelligence.
• Daily administration of Data Loss Prevention technologies.
• Daily administration of Web Filtering and End Point Security Services.
• Perform Penetration testing and security assessments.
• Working towards compliance on all security related systems, following the PCI DSS guidelines, Including both Network, Linux and Windows Systems
• Good understanding of security risk identification and assessment.
• Ongoing documentation and maintenance of new (and existing) security products and services in a SharePoint knowledgebase.
• Maintaining a daily events log(s).
• Responsible for application portfolio management.
• Available on call for any problems with related systems after hours.
• Working closely with Network Security Specialist to ensure redundancy of duties.

Essential Requirements:

• 7-10 years Information and Technology Security experience.
• CISSP certification would be advantageous (GIAC, GCIH, CISCO, CCNA, CCNP, Websense).
• Experience in the fundamentals of project management.
• Advanced skills and experience with Windows, Linux and Networking.

Job Competencies:

• Expert knowledge of Network Security principles and practices (hands-on experience with technologies such as load balancers, firewalls, routers, switches, intrusion detection systems, network behaviour analysis)
• Solid understanding of information security principles, standards, practices and protocols (ISO 27001/2).
• Practical hands-on experience installing, configuring and maintaining security products.
• Administration of Security Infrastructure providing weekly/daily reports.
• Ability to find to find strategies which will protect D.O.S intellectual property and assets from outside threats that include viruses, hackers etc.
• Monitoring and detection of anomaly’s within Systems Security Access Logs (SIEM).
• Working towards compliance on all security related systems, following PCI DSS guidelines, Including both Network, Linux Windows Systems.
• Troubleshooting network/server/infrastructure problems and ownership of escalation to senior member or external party until resolution.
• Familiarity with storage technologies (SAN) in a Windows server environment.
• After hours availability when required.
