    Admin Officer - Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth

    Main purpose of the position:

    • Effective handling of all administrative tasks relating to the administration of the department.

    Minimum Requirements:            

    • Grade 12;
    • 1-2 years of experience in credit applications, contracts, FICA, Debit and Creditors.

    Skills:

    • Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
    • Computer literate (MS Office);
    • Good numerical ability;
    • Good organisational skills;
    • Good time management skills;
    • Strong leadership skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Keeping up of administration;

    Assistant Software Development Manager - Ladybrand

    Main purpose of the position:

    • The identification of new IT technological opportunities, as well as the management and coordination of IT software development projects, for the purposes of the maintenance, development and implementation of software systems for the OVK group.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Appropriate Bachelor's degree or similar tertiary qualification or experience in IT software development.
    • Appropriate qualification or experience in financial accounting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development.
    • Minimum 5 years management experience regarding IT software development projects.

    Skills:

    • Excellent communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English.
    • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
    • Experience regarding software development in COBOL and the IBM-i operating system.
    • Previous experience in an agri-business environment would be beneficial.
    • Excellent people skills and the ability to lead and manage a team and work together in a team.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to function independently.

    Responsibilities:

    • Instigation and management of IT software development projects through the evaluation and monitoring of Business priorities, the determination of IT priorities and allocation thereof to IT programmers, as well as the productive and effective utilisation of IT resources.
    • Coordination and planning of IT software development projects, including the approval and finalisation of technical specifications.
    • Coordination and monitoring of testing regarding the implementation of IT software development projects.
    • Liaising with Business regarding IT software development projects.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 4 years Grain/Silo experience;
    • Fumigation certificate;
