    Collections - Data Analyst

    Job Details:
    Collections Reporting: 

    •  Compile monthly and ad hoc reports for management and their related committees.
    •  Daily/Weekly/Monthly trend analysis of delinquent and non-earning asset portfolio in order to determine adherence to the relevant collection strategy and/or process.
    •  Responsible for the compilation and visualisation of the findings of such analyses to the Manager: Collections using the appropriate technology.
    •  Interrogate findings to determine root cause(s), which should highlight areas of non-adherence to the relevant teams and/or service provider in order to steer and ensure remedial action is taken.
    •  Maintain all system records to ensure that an enhanced level of business intelligence/reporting is available for business steering.
    •  Monitoring and tracking service provider performance with monthly reviews setup with each provider to discuss outcomes.
    •  Develop new reports to highlight important trends, and market trends.

    Process Development:

    •  Review/Design workflows and system strategies to comply with relevant legislation and/or revised strategies implemented by the department.
    •  Derive weekly/monthly campaigns based on trends identified with the internal and external teams, as well as measure the success of such campaigns, as well as the themes associated with failed attempts.
    •  Verify and process the required invoices for payment to service providers by the required deadlines for the Collections, Asset & Loss and Home loans portfolios.
    •  Managing the finance recon by steering actions through the various departments and teams. 
    •  Develop reports and monitor all Collections Service Providers(Attorney, EDC, LGI, Early Collections and Tracer) performance as well as system allocations to ensure that all service providers receive equal distribution of accounts based on capacity.
    •  Monitor that all bulk generated letters are being processed timeously in line with NCA regulations, and ensuring that administrators attending to same are scanning proof of postages to deals correctly.
    •  Management of all postage, and record keeping of legal letters required for NCA purposes as well as controlling the costs involved in these actions.  

    Project Management: 

    • Manage the renewal of all Service provider contracts in conjunction with purchasing and tender guidelines.
    • Assist and collaborate with vetting purchasers for the “Sale portfolio” in line with the purchasing and tender guidelines. 
    • Resolve all queries raised by either internal or external stakeholders relating to payments or the status of budget/cost centre.
    • Monitor that all bulk generated letters are being processed timeously in line with NCA regulations, and ensuring that administrators attending to same are scanning proof of postages to deals correctly.
    • Management of all postage, and record keeping of legal letters required for NCA purposes as well as controlling the costs involved in these actions. 
    • Drive allocated projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget;
    • Effectively communicate progress to line manager and business managers;
    • Highlight areas of concern within projects and facilitate decision making;
    • Coordinate with external departments to ensure timeous delivery.

    Implement Effective Control Mechanisms: 

    • Internal Control systems (ICS) – adherence to controls; focus on regular monitoring of controls and on testing of controls effectiveness (e.g. performing monthly spot-checks and/or reviewing exception reports); support annual process & control review; annual review/update of process maps / flows and relevant regulations / work instructions; active contribution to detect and mitigate process gaps.
    • Drive automation / efficiencies / process optimization across all processes.
    • Any other task that management may necessitate in reaction to unexpected changes to our environment, greater business needs or to mitigate the vulnerability of the BMW Groups reputation or potential financial loss

    Specialist Supply Chain and Purchasing Specialist

    Role Purpose & Key accountabilities

    • Responsible for preventive and reactive supply security in the supply chain including monitoring (KPI setup and tracking), steering and reporting to management to guarantee parts supply.
    • Responsible for the supply escalation process in cooperation with local and  central management (Purchasing, Quality and Logistics).
    • Responsible for capacity steering of demand (using internal systems)
    • Responsible for providing input regarding the supply chain process as part of the procurement process with the central buying function.
    • Responsible to ensure that BMW incl. SA specific requirements (International Purchasing Conditions) are adhered to (including adherence to APDP 2, B-BBBEE requirements and certificate tracking).
    • Responsible to identify and evaluate potential suppliers to produce components in his field of expertise and to advise the respective BMW AG Group Buyers of the potential suppliers.
    • Responsible to monitor and steer the sustainability targets and required certificates at the suppliers.
    • Responsible and accountable to ensure that, by means of a robust international communication network, the interests of the relevant BMW Group Purchasing department are adequately and effectively represented in BMW SA.

    Key accountabilities of the function

    • Leads and collaborates with cross functional teams during critical situation - lockdowns, energy, tooling breakdown, strike, medical situations, storms, insolvency, supply chain delays, harbour shut downs to ensure a stable parts supply to BMW.
    • Steers/analyzes parts availability for on-going series/launch production.
    • Develops plans to address shortcomings and establishes countermeasures to meet BMW supply chain requirements.
    • Functions as an integral part of BMW Quality, Purchasing and Logistics teams for launch and series.
    • Collaborates with QMT and Logistics associates to implement Capacity monitoring tools with Suppliers.
    • Supports reporting of regional topics to the BMW Group capacity review board in order to keep BMW production running.
    • Provides transparency of the Supply Chain and communicates risks to management and requests supplier escalation as necessary.
    • Performs annual Supply Chain Management System audits at suppliers and develops action plan to address open topics.

    Purchasing specific:

    • If there is a need for deeper localisation: Evaluates global market conditions/trends and obtains knowledge of latest technologies and procurement/costing structures. Keeps abreast of legislation requirements for local content and export. Independently analyses the market, conducts feasibility and benchmark studies and submits proposals regarding the purchasing and procurement of local content and Export potentials within the framework of the BMW Group global sourcing strategy.
    • Works in close collaboration with the BMW AG Group Buyer, supports the decision-making process regarding supplier and sub-supplier selection and project assessment and activities resulting from the risk evaluation.
    • Supports the Group buyer with completion of the purchasing contract between BMW and the supplier, including interface agreements, cost/price setting and development, purchasing conditions, purchase orders and adherence to APDP2/B-BBEE requirements

    Educational Background / Professional Knowledge and Experience / Other Skills

    • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing / Procurement or related field.
    • 5+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain and/or in manufacturing technology specifically: Supply Chain Planning, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Material Control, Production Control, VPS, Lean Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality Management, Supplier Management Systems.
    • 5+ years of experience in project management, negotiations, purchasing/procurement, capacity evaluations, material flow and process auditing techniques.
    • Logistical IT skills knowledge
    • 5+ years working knowledge on interior, exterior, electrical, chassis or powertrain components and logistic or supply chain processes.
    • 5+ years of professional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
    • 5+ years MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Power BI Access).
    • 5+ years of professional interpersonal and intercultural skills.
    • 5+ years knowledge of BMW Management System and Processes (preferred).
    • 2+ years of  strategic planning, critical thinking, and innovation skills.

    Artisan: Maintenance

    Job Summary:

    • To support the team in achieving all product, process and system quality targets.
    • Responsible for ensuring all electrical and mechanical equipment in his supervision are maintained and in good working condition.
    • Support the production team in achieving the Production volume, by quick response to breakdowns.
    • Fault finding on the integrated IT, Network, PLC control systems.
    • Eliminating electrical equipment failure by means of preventative maintenance.
    • Monitor and control the execution of all maintenance work performed by the artisans to ensure the timeous completion of the work to the required standard.

    Requirement

    • N4 Electrical or Mechanical.
    • Completed Trade test Millwright, Electrician or Fitter and Turner.
    • Minimum 3 years related experience in electrical and or mechanical maintenance in an automated production environment.
    • Assembly plant experience will we an added advantage.

    Specialist: QMP Direct Purcha

    Role Description

    As a Parts Quality Specialist (Quality Management Parts) for Interior Trim, you will be responsible to:

    • Develop and approve Suppliers processes and Quality systems to ensure parts conform to relevant BMW standards - confirm launch capability for all new parts and processes.
    • Approve delivered parts quality from suppliers – parts delivered to the defined BMW quality level and associated ISIR’s (Initial Sample Inspection Report)are released accordingly.
    • Manage supplier performance with regards to supplier process quality – suppliers and sub-suppliers are producing parts to meet all relevant BMW standards. Positively impact on KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) which are Supplier Responsible, supplier performance and competence assessment.
    • Deliver QMP activities for all components within a module – all components within the agreed scope are delivered in line with BMW processes and timing to meet project milestones and targets.
    • Series QMP escalation – Group network escalation route and supplier selection input
    • Problem Quality Management (PQM) – solves non-conformances to ensure timely and sustainable resolution to supplier caused quality defects.
    • Purchasing structure communication – integrate into the BMW QMP network to ensure open communication between commodities for a stronger face to suppliers

    Qualifications and experience

    • BSc Industrial / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with more than 5 years experience in a relevant technical field
    • Further education in the field of Quality Management would be an advantage
    • 2 to 3 years in the engineering and quality projects – preferably in the automotive industry
