    MMU Controller - Mpumalanga - Isbonelo

    Duties include; but are not limited to:

    • Conduct daily equipment pre-start safety check noting any sub-standard conditions and report such instances to the Site Supervisor;
    • Load the MMU with the correct raw materials;
    • Calibrate the MMU monthly, to ensure that it delivers the correct blend of raw materials;
    • Monitor safety systems on the MMU during operation;
    • Be fully conversant with and able to control the MMU through the IBIS control system and any future variants of the IBIS system;
    • Conduct on bench quality checks on drill pattern, blast hole depths and stemming lengths;
    • Make up primers and prime blast holes;
    • Identification of any abnormal conditions on the MMU and within the work area and reporting thereof to Supervision;
    • Maintain ownership of bulk explosives MMU including housekeeping of the cab, chassis and plant;
    • Minimize and clean up any raw material spillage and dispose of any spillage in the correct waste streams;
    • Contribute to the review and generation of Enaex Africa –  Mining Services Works Instructions;
    • Participate and actively contribute to Enaex Africa –  Mining Services and Customer induced safety initiatives;
    • Conduct 1st line maintenance i.e changing of bled pump, water stator, diesel stator, proxy cable and gassing stator;
    • Decontamination of trucks.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements and Experience:·

    • Grade 12 (Must)
    • Possession of a valid code 14 Drivers’ license with handling of a manual transmission gear-box (Must)
    • 2 years driving experience in the same license category (Must)
    • Possession of a valid Professional Driver Permit (PDP) for dangerous goods (Must)
    • Fit to work at heights (Must)
    • Blasting Assistant Certificate (Advantage)
    • Competency A Certificate (Advantage)
    • Working at heights Certificate (Advantage)
    • Preference will be given to local communities

    Learning and Development Manager - Gauteng

    Description

    • The role will strategically identify, design, and implement comprehensive training programs that cultivate employee skills, enhance organisational effectiveness, and foster a culture of continuous learning throughout Enaex Africa. By aligning training initiatives with the company's values and mission, this position aims to maximize operational excellence through enhancing employee potential, improve performance, and contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization.
    • The role will also be supporting operational excellence, talent acquisition, staff development and team engagement.
    • Develop and implement an L&D strategy for Africa focused on enhancing technical competency, personal development, and compliance.
    • Strategically identify, design, and implement comprehensive training programs that cultivate employee skills, enhance organizational effectiveness, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
    • Identify strategic learning and development initiatives to maintain a BBBEE score that is equivalent to or above level 3.
    • Effective management of resources and budget
    • Stakeholder engagement:  Exco, SETA’s (CHIETA & MQA), Service Providers etc.
    • Policy writing and review to ensure alignment with legislation ·    
    • Develop and implement department skills matrices, both technical and compliance
    • Collaboration with managers to identify competency gaps, training needs and refresher training.
    • General knowledge of HR principles BBBEE/EE/TAX, SETA and SD legislations
    • Documentation and reporting – document accurate learner and staff progress, succession plans and training outcomes providing regular reports to HRD
    • Development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures by applying good industry practices, regulatory and compliance requirements.
    • Continuous development of the learning system (LMS)
    • Develop comprehensive training materials for in-house courses, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
    • Plan and assess the return on investment for training and development programs, considering costs and adhering to budgets.
    • Collaborate with various departments and conduct consultations to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and individual development plans.
    • Continuously assess and improve training programs based on feedback, changing business needs, and emerging industry trends
    • Keep abreast of market changes to recommend new learning technologies, methodologies etc.
    • Budget and cost management, by aligning all requirements to strategic initiatives i.e. BBBEE and SETA
    • Facilitation and management of the learnership tax rebate
    • Management of SETA grants to reduce payroll cost.
    • Manage expenditure by tracking spend against budget, reviewing and approving costs, identifying areas of under- or over-spend and implementing corrective.
    • Compilation of the WSP and ATR annual submission
    • Ensure compliance of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE), Chief Inspector of Explosives (CIE) requirements
    • OHSA and MA legal training·  
    • To manage SHE training, ensure implementation is completed and noncompliance is addressed as required.
    • Monitoring requirements and standards, managing completion of monitoring and managing that issues are resolved within deadlines.
    • To manage SHE requirements compliance with by managing review of SHE practices, identifying noncompliance and addressing within deadlines. 
    • Manage stakeholder relationships by liaising with key internal and external stakeholders and collaborating as required.
    • Engage with industry stakeholders by identifying key points of impact and discussion, representing the organization, and providing input into industry related initiatives and addressing any industry related concerns or challenges.
    • Manage service providers by defining and negotiating SLA’s, monitoring, and managing delivery against standards.
    • Resource planning for the SD team to ensure full   capacity of trainers and administrators across Enaex Africa
    • Talent and performance management, implement appropriate training plans including succession planning to ensure business continuity.
    • Improve the team’s engagement and climate level.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant Training and Development or Human Resources Management.    
    • Assessor/Moderator/SD Facilitator, Lead Auditor Certificate will be advantageous.   
    • 10+ years’ experience in learning and development role.
    • Knowledge and experience of Learning and development methodologies with special emphasis on training in Technical/Explosive/Engineering/BBBEE and soft skills
    • Experience in leading a learning and development strategy focused on the Future of Work
    • Good Stakeholder Management Skills 
    • 5 - 8 years’ experience in explosives industry Preferred

    • Assist the Explosives Controller to conduct routine fault finding, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairs on the MMU process plant and chassis

    • Comply to the Mine`s safety and health procedures

    Material Controller Gr 2 - North West - Rustenburg

    Description

    Execute the acceptance of production:

    • Sign production transfer sheets to take acceptance of product into magazine.
    • Make the relevant entries in the magazine register.  

    Execute the preparation of product for dispatch:

    •  Place stickers with consignee details on ordered products.
    •  Make the relevant entries in the magazine register.
    •  Prepare the product for loading

    Execute the entries of product dispatched:

    •  Ensure oldest product is dispatched first.
    • Old, expired stock kept to minimum.

    Stock Control:

    • Daily Stock Counts as per explosives act.
    •  Stock sheet handed in to management (Daily)

    General Administrative Support:

    • Provide general administrative support to the magazine team, as and when required to do so.
    • Update register to reflect actual stock in magazine.

    Manage the FIFO (First in First Out) principle on product dispatch:                     

    • Ensure oldest product is dispatched first.
    • Old, expired stock kept to minimum.

     Requirements

    • Valid driver's licence
    • 1 year experience in supply chain explosives and/or mining (Added Advantage).
