    Social Media Specialist

    Job description

    Who We Need

    This role will involve the management of a portfolio of clients with a focus on improving their return on investment using Social Media. The ideal candidate will be fluent in all aspects of social media and will be able to analyse data to inform strategy and decision making for the benefit of the client. A high degree of initiative, dedication, and enthusiasm is required along with a thirst for knowledge in the Social Media arena.

    What will you do?

    • Manage clients’ social activity
    • Develop and execute social media content
    • Manage the social communities of our clients including response handling and communication professional and correctly on behalf of our clients
    • Develop social strategies to improve social engagement on behalf of our clients
    • Setup and curate social campaigns for our clients ensuring only the highest standard of output
    • Work with the SEO team where required to ensure integrations of search and social deliverables
    • Manage and respond to threats and opportunities in the digital space
    • Manage the online reputation of our clients through both manual and automated methods
    • Research and formulate insights to constantly inform our solution offering
    • Ensure that the quality of content generated on behalf of clients is of a superb standard
    • Generation of reports on activity, results and ongoing strategy
    • Maintain responsibility for the formulation of relevant and effective social media strategy both from a documentation as well as a presentation perspective in conjunction with the digital strategy team
    • Implement best practices in benchmarking to ensure performance targets are continually exceeded
    • Liaise with management team

    What do you need to be?

    • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in social media content and community management
    • Superb written and verbal communication skills
    • An extensive understanding of all facets of social media
    • Previous experience and a proven track record of obtaining results from social media campaigns
    • Experience delivering across a wide range of social media channels and campaigns
    • Ability to effectively manage time to meet project deadlines
    • Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively
    • Knowledge of BrandsEye and Radian 6 is advantageous
    • A communications degree is advantageous
    • Ability to thrive in a fluid and agile environment
