    Sales Manager

    Job description

    Main Purpose:

    To develop and execute a retention and new business strategy by motivating and leading a team to ensure profitable growth in line with the established budget and company strategy.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • To lead and manage the team to protect the existing profitable clients through a specific process in terms of account management to ensure sustainability and growth of the business.
    • To ensure growth of the existing client base by implementing appropriate increases timeously.
    • To develop and initiate industry and product relevant solutions and best practice to differentiate DSV as market leaders.
    • To manage and lead the retention team based on performance measurement to ensure profitable growth, service excellence and client centricity.
    • To ensure service excellence by recruiting and developing high performance team members.
    • To achieve new business and retention targets.
    • To effectively interact/liaise with relevant stakeholders in order to achieve five star quality to the client.
    • To compile budgets in order to forecast accurately and plan for sales and operational planning.
    • To lead the retention team in line with the company's strategic initiatives within and across business units.
    • To identify areas for development, develop training material; facilitate training and gap analysis of individuals in line with career pathing.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
    • Computer Skills:
    • MS word.
    • Excel.
    • Powepoint.
    • Outlook.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years experience as a sales executive or key accounts manager, interacting directly with clients.
    • Minimum 2 years experience in leading and managing a team.
    • Minimum 2 years experience in presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proven P&L management experience.
    • Proven experience dealing with C-level clients on negative or contentious sales / delivery issues.
    • Proven experience of coaching weaker sales or key accounts staff.
    • Valid Driver’s License code 08.
    • Reliable vehicle reflecting a professional image.
    • Be willing to travel.
    • Be able to work flexible hours.
