    Industrial Engineer

    Job description

    The Industrial engineers is responsible for finding ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes. They are also responsible for devising efficient ways to use workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to make a product or provide a service.

    Position Details:

    • Drive development and/or installation of direct and indirect labor standards and methods. Track labor, efficient manpower utilization and line balancing
    • Conduct a departmental Daily Report Of Time analysis against Labour Resource Planning Tool RTO with support from Human Resources and Production to ensure proper labour staffing and strategy
    • Ensure that the plant structure is accurately set up in Allocation Planning Tool and all Allocation Planning Tool system requirements are met
    • Conduct Job Ergonomics evaluations
    • Analyze problem process constraints and conduct equipment cycle time analysis
    • Recommend most efficient distribution of manpower through analyzing plant methods and standards
    • Analyze production and non-production operations to determine those requiring study and develop new or improved methods and standards
    • Conduct time and motion/Modular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standards studies and review employee proposals and suggestions
    • Review proposed changes in plant layout, processes, material handling, routing and the effect on manpower
    • Interface with Production Supervision to settle job disputes
    • Assist production in planning labor allocations for mix and line speed changes

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing, Ergonomics, Kaizen

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • NDIP/ Btech in Industrial Engineering or related field
    • Experience: Automotive
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
