Salary R1.8 - R2 million per annum

Lead the strategic sourcing as Head of Procurement for one of the household names in FMCG.

Drive strategic procurement objectives for the various divisions. Lead the development for South Africa and Africa. Drive optimisation and cost savings throughout the business and ensure processes and policies are in line with long term business goals. This is an opportunity to lead one of the country’s most well know FMCG brands.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic sourcing team and implement policies and procedures within Procurement driving the strategic goals of the company
• Develop the procurement KPI’s for the group and develop and implement innovative strategies for all divisions
• Lead negotiations and drive innovative cost savings initiatives with a strategic sourcing mind-set; Lead the business on ethical and sustainable Procurement
• Support and develop procurement teams, mentor and grow the teams in order for them to excel at their cost savings achievements also driving improvement of quality, lead time and service delivery

Requirements:

• BCom Supply Chain/Economics
• MBA or MCIPS will be an immense advantage
• FMCG Experience is a NON-NEGOTIABLE
• 10 Years’ experience within strategic sourcing (No more, no less as per client request)
• 4 Years’ Procurement Management experience
• SAP experience is a non-negotiable
• Strong negotiation skills and exceptional Commercial Acumen is required for this role
• Knowledge of Production processes will be an added advantage
