    Category Manager Assistant

    Job description

Loot.co.za is hunting for a right hand man/woman for their Electronics Category Manager.

    What would you do:

Assist the Electronics Category Manager with day-to-day tasks and ensure that the latest and greatest products are listed on Loot.co.za with a kick-ass spec, awesome images and consistent product data formatting throughout.
You’ll need to work with pricelists and data sheets, chase suppliers and spend a lot of time combing the web for accurate information.

    This would suit you if:

You love the internet and you’re interested in the latest technologies and products. You’re interested in learning the nuts and bolts of running an ecommerce business and the thought of sourcing and manipulating large volumes of data doesn’t send you screaming for the hills.

    We’ll love you if:

    • Big spread sheets don’t scare you, you are sometimes described as being a little OCD when it comes to detail and you’re always on the look-out for ways to simplify and streamline processes.
    • You have some experience in retail, particularly in the computer hardware, cellular or photographic sectors.
    • You’re not afraid to learn new things on the hop, are willing to get your hands dirty (figuratively usually) and to help out wherever required.
    • You know your way around the inside of a PC, a little HMTL and some basic image manipulation skills would all help.

    You’ll need:

    • 1-2 years relevant experience
    • Matric
    • To manage your time between day-to-day maintenance and ad-hoc projects
    • Good excel skills
    • To be process driven
    • To be happy to learn new systems and to dive into whatever task gets thrown at you
    • Experience in the E-commerce Retail Sector is advantageous
