Job description

The role of Project Manager is to act as focal point for Industrial services Projects handled by the SA PIPS business. The role is to oversee the team of Project Engineers and assist and support them to ensure delivery to our clients. Liaison and development of key customer relationships is of paramount importance throughout the project. The safe and profitable execution of each project is the goal that Enermech seeks from its PM’s, and good working relationships with the Operational support team will be vital in delivering this.

Duties include:

• Provide leadership to the Industrial Services Engineers via a detailed technical understanding of the Industrial business.
• Responsible for the overall success of the projects undertaken, liaising with the Senior Projects Manager and Operations Manager to determine the scheduling and management of resources.
• Secure repeat business via delivery of projects to a high standard.
• Focal point for all QHSE related matters on the department
• Provide project reporting to Enermech Management on progress : commercial, schedule etc.
• Ensure that the monthly billing process is seamless through the correct paperwork being approved and presented on time.
• Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance programs and practices are followed to ensure maximum uptime for all Enermech equipment.
• The two key result areas are the safe execution of the project for all staff and ensuring all operations meet and exceed the minimum EnerMech, Customer and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out Industrial Services BD and Sales as directed by Business Development Manager.
• Assist the PIPS Tendering Group to give overseas support and give technical support.
• Actively be involved in recruitment of Personnel.
• Assist and recommend system/process development to make the Industrial Services  Business Unit more efficient in delivering projects.
• Mentoring and Coaching of young Engineers and Trainees.
