Job description

Purpose of the Role

​To propose possible solutions for business problems within the process and information-centric Finance and HR departments through in depth analysis.

To work with a team of business analysts, product owners and technical resources to ensure quality and on-time delivery of software as per business requirements for the General Ledger, Sub-ledger(s), Asset Register, Procurement and Human Resource management.

Minimum Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
• ​At least 4 years’ proven experience in a Business Analyst role
• A relevant tertiary qualification in business analysis with at least 3 years’ relevant software development experience (for example: Diploma in Business Analyst) would be preferred
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of:
• Finance and/or HR functional requirements
• Business analysis and design
• Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Agile development principles and methodologies
• Project Management principles and methodologies
• Experience working in JIRA and Confluence applications would be ideal
• Communication skills (written and verbal) in English
• Computer Literacy (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook with advanced MS Excel)
• Presentation & facilitation skills
• Analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Process and organisational thinking
• Business acumen
• Attention to detail
• Adaptability to change
• Ability to work under own initiative without guidance, cope well under sustained pressure and deliver to deadlines
• Ability to deal with multiple projects at the same time
• Coaching and mentoring skills to other business analyst
• Ability to motivate self and team
