MINE OPERATIONS MANAGER, CAPE LIME VREDENDAL at Afrimat

Job description

Purpose:

Reporting to the MD, the incumbent is to ensure that the mine in Vredendal is operational, efficient and effective and meets all requirements to be compliant as mining operation.

Responsibilities:

• Ore resource management (open cast mine)
• Operation of processing plant
• Effectiveness and efficiency of equipment
• Product development and marketing
• Overall business performance
• Supply of technical advice (internally and externally)

Attributes:

• Able to lead staff towards achievement of business unit- and Group objectives.
• A related formal tertiary qualification in Chemical or Metallurgical, with proven experience in a minerals processing environment.
• Seven to 10 years' experience in managerial capacity, ideally backed by a qualification of formal development programme in Management.
• Excellent business communication skills in English.
