Reports to: Manager Operations

Purpose of the job

• Responsible for establishing and managing procurement policies and strategies in terms of buying , selling .
• Able to lead
• Negotiations with the approved vendors ensuring correct commercial and contractual arrangements are followed.

Key Skills

Analysis

• Establishing and managing the most appropriate procurement policies and strategies

Implementations

• Ensuring that all major work packages are procured on suitable terms and conditions with limited risk

Advise

• The evaluation and implementation of formal framework alliancing and partnering supply agreements with major key strategic suppliers to ensure the delivery of added value supply solutions.

Administration

• Management of all commercial and contractual aspects relating to packages and ensuring compliance.
• Ensuring procurement is done with due diligence and with the correct paperwork

Contract Negotiation

• Managing the tender process and the evaluation of all major equipment service providers and vendors.
• Vendors are fairly and in detail evaluated both commercial and technically.

Internal Control

• Within budgets procurement done
• Fairly and in detail vendor scrutinized

Education & Experience

• Degree In procurement or Supply Chain/Logistics/Procurement Management
• 8 years’ experience in similar capacity
• Negotiation and Persuasion
• Social Perceptiveness
• Judgment and Decision Making
• Communication -English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
• extensive BBBE compliance knowledge and proven experience
