Materials Planner at RB

Job description

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Materials Planner to join RB’s Planning team.

This role is responsible for managing the planning if raw materials and packaging as per RB’s production plan.We require a dynamic individual who will ensure 100% availability of materials to meet agreed plans for production whilst minimising inventory. You will support the business by placing weekly orders based on production schedules, collaborating & working closely with suppliers, resolve issues and track deliveries. As an integral member of an experienced and dynamic Material Planning team, you will be responsible for managing run- out plans and also drive introduction of new materials and optimising inventory levels through effectively managing SLOB’s.

• Strong oral & written communication skills.
• Very strong analytical skills and problem- solving skills.
• Computer literate including advanced excel skills.
• Must have matric as well as a B Degree or N. Diploma.
• Must have demonstrated experience of 3- 4 years in a similar role in FMCG company & industry. Demonstrated knowledge of raw material & packaging planning and production planning understanding.
• Detailed knowledge of MRP process & systems is required and JDE & SAP knowledge is beneficial.
• Must be a RSA citizen.
