    Programme Scheduler (Assistant)

    Job description

    If you're passionate about TV, and have a background in TV Broadcasting then this role is for you. We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Scheduler based in our offices in Midrand,, Gauteng. You will have a great understanding of TV Broadcasting and have an eye for detail.

    The Scheduling department is responsible for scheduling all Africa channels as well as History Middle East. The role will support the Scheduling Manager to ensure that the schedules are accurately loaded onto the 'What’s On' scheduling system and provide general administrative support to the Scheduling Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Creating channel schedules in What’s On scheduling system and supporting the Programming team with content evaluation.
    • Entering and updating monthly schedules and creating reports in What’s On scheduling system
    • Cooperate closely with Acquisitions, Languaging and Content Management teams to secure broadcast of the planned schedule
    • Screening and evaluating content
    • Support Head of Scheduling in preparation of the monthly schedules
    • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

    Person Specification:

    • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, What’s On scheduling system knowledge is beneficial )
    • Fluency in English.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
    • Attention to detail
    • A positive, can-do attitude.
    • Adaptable
    • Willing to travel internationally as required
