Job description

The Communications Consultant contributes to the organisational goals by implementing the Sales Communications strategy, communication plans for projects and initiatives aimed at the Sales Team.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and implementation of a communications plan /calendar.
• Effectively champion the overall business Sales strategy and vision as per the guidance provided by the General Manager and Executive Head.
• Assist in driving communications plans that inform, influence and engage employees(Employee Engagement Plans/initiatives)
• Provide communications advice and support.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify communication opportunities that will advance the business areas’ objectives(Sales Drives, TGT)
• Ensure that STI Sales messaging is reflective in all communication (Daily Comms)
• Determine the most appropriate and effective communication channels.(Group Comms)
• Ability to manage a number of communications projects - Needs to interface with senior management - Social media/ digital media capability (blogs etc) - Emphasis on writing capabilities.

Minimum job requirements:

Essential:

• Writes convincingly; Writes clearly, succinctly and correctly. Avoids the unnecessary use of jargon or complicated language. Writes in a well-structured and logical way. Structures information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience
• Grade 12 (Standard 10) with University Entrance (NQF4)
• A 3 year tertiary Communications/Public Relations diploma/degree
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a communications field
