    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    We’re looking for a “Business Development Manager”.

    Lacuna is currently witnessing growth and is looking for a Business Development Manager who will add value to a dynamic, multi-skilled and passionate group of individuals. The successful candidate, based in Cape Town, South Africa and will work with the team work together with the team, employing their unique IT-based skillset and understanding of cloud-based systems, infrastructure and processes to deliver world-class inspiration.

    Areas of Involvement:

    • Customer research and prospecting
    • Drive growth of client portfolio and project pipelines
    • Pitching Lacuna’s products and service offering to potential clients
    • Deal with multiple stakeholders and manage the customer relationship
    • Marketing our offerings to new and existing clients

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Identifying new areas and opportunities for expansion within the South African market.
    • Employ problem-solving skills to develop unique solutions to our clients' consultative requirements.
    • Work in conjunction with senior management and the design team in preparing and delivering sales proposals.
    • Assess the viability of project proposals and make recommendations on revenues & costs.
    • Cold calling potential clients to bring in more business and meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Assist with preparing client presentations and proposals.”
    • Provide regular feedback to management on sales activities, pipelines and deals.
    • Use the Zoho Sales & Marketing CRM system to collect, coordinate, and prepare all avenues of communication and documentation, including customer contracts.
    • Identify the needs of our potential business clients and see how Lacuna’s unique offering can make a difference in their lives.
    • To anticipate, manage and resolve issues and act as the point of contact for all sales.
    • We foster an ‘all hands-on- deck’ culture, so you may dabble in areas too

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both written and verbally.
    • Experience in successfully engaging with senior managers and various groups of stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage business change and possesses a strong sense of leadership.
    • Ability to demonstrate strong sales analyses and financial management skills
    • Strong planning, leading and organisation skills.
    • Must be a team player who is energetic, charismatic and enthusiastic personality.

    What’s on offer?

    R18-25K + commission.

    This position also includes excellent monthly, quarterly and annual commissions, based on sales targets being reached (performance related).
