Academic Au Pair | Rynfield | R7500 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• A family is looking for an ACADEMIC AU PAIR for their son aged 12 years old (September 2026)
• Area: Rynfield
• Ages: son aged 12 years old (September 2026)
• Working hours: Monday – Friday ideally between 13h30 and 17h30, to generally work around 8 hours per week.
• School holiday hours:  may be needed to take to sports sessions during holidays if necessary
• Duties: Candidate is required to be flexible with the schedule as the son does sports after school which can change from time to time and every term. If sports is cancelled, the candidate will need to collect him from school. Candidate will be responsible for tutoring and supervision of all schoolwork and homework for roughly 8 hours per week.
• Over and above the daily school collections, candidate will be required to assist with preparing him for standardised tests that happen on a Friday, help complete homework, check assignments, tasks and help with setting up a study schedule, able to use apps used for school, speeches assignments studying for exams etc. Main priority is to ensure his homework, studying, assignments, speeches everything is up to date at all times. Must be capable to do maths, Afrikaans, English all subjects and have to be flexible as the hours change due to sports cancelled, or times change etc.
• Requirements: candidate is able to provide the academic support and someone who is dedicated to the family during those afternoons and is not committed to another family or position during that time
• Start date: September 2026 start – permanent contract
• Salary: R7500 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
