Academic Coordinator 3-Year Contract (Part-Time - 20 hours Per Week) at Rhodes University

Main Objectives

• Participating in the coordination of the activities of the Global Partnership Network, an international research network which partners with universities and civil society organisations all over the world.

The Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) (Honours advantageous) in Humanities or Social Sciences with at least one year’s relevant experience, where such experience includes:

• Experience in academic coordination, program management, or international partnerships/networks;
• Experience working as a member of a team;
• Interest in the thematic areas of the GPN (partnership in development cooperation, the global economy and knowledge production);
• Familiarity with academic research processes and university structures;
• Previous experience in setting up and maintaining databases would be an advantage;
• Previous exposure to global networks or international collaboration projects would be an advantage; and
• Previous social media management would be an advantage.
