    Account Executive/Personal Lines Broker

    Amongst others, key performance areas will include the following:

    • Business development on the personal lines front with existing clients.
    • Mining the existing extensive corporate and commercial insurance book with a view to offering personal insurance solutions to clients.
    • Fulfilling a technical and specialist and administrative role for personal line clients.
    • Liaising with and providing services to personal line clients.
    • Retain, maintain and build business relationships as required.
    • Providing professional and accurate advice in respect of exclusions, terms and conditions, underwriting requirements, etc.
    • Providing input in respect of renewals.
    • Providing input in respect of client claims.
    • Providing input in respect of products and services of competition in the marketplace.

    Requisite Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Skills and Know-How.

    The Ideal Candidate will:

    • Be an experienced short-term insurance professional with a proven record of achievement in providing insurance solutions in the personal lines front to clients.
    • Have at least 5 years of experience in the short-term insurance industry with a personal lines focus.
    • Have an extensive knowledge base in respect of personal lines solutions offered throughout South Africa.
    • Have good relationships with stakeholders in the insurance industry.
    • Have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment in the personal lines space in South Africa.
    • Have well-developed influencing and negotiating skills.
    • Have well-developed communication skills [written, presentations, group and one-on-one, etc.]
    • Have proven ability and gravitas to operate at all levels.
    • Have the ability to operate competently with all internal and external stakeholders.
    • Have fulfilled all regulatory requirements and examinations.
    • Be matriculated and preferably have a postschool short-term insurance qualification.
