What we're looking for

We’re looking for a Account Finance Analyst: PnP & Spar to join our Finance team.  

Purpose of the role:

• Provide business and analytic support for PnP & Spar Group
• Proactively monitoring business trends and identifying risks and opportunities to maximize business performance. 
• Work closely with NAM’s, KAM’s & RAM’s and provide financial support
• Own profit and loss evaluations based on promotional deals and provide recommendations to NAM’s/KAM’s/RAM’s
• Support delivery of SA BU AOP targets i.e NR, NOPBT and OCF
• Support in identifying any fluctuations between the plan/forecast and actual sales trend, communicate any concern, and help developing solutions for driving sales or for modifying /adjusting activities to variations from the plan within the 6 BU’s
• Support in providing accurate financial figures to influence business decisions
• Proactively seek opportunities to optimise returns on D&A investments through collaborating with current sales leaders
• Support Account Finance managers to capture D&A forecast on PowerOn
• Requires cross functional team collaboration with NAM’s, KAM’s, RAM’s, Revenue Management, Supply chain finance, FBP’s etc

Accountabilities:

• Sales facing, commercially minded
• Customer Integrated Business Planning, optimisation, performance analysis
• Support Discounts and Allowances(D&A) accuracy
• Assisting sales organisation in forecasting and analysis
• Work with cross-functional teams to manage P&L expectations
• Providing insightful analysis of account results and perform ad-hoc analyses
• Identify any fluctuations between the plan/forecast and actual sales trend, communicate any concern. Collaborate with sales organization to close gaps vs. AOP
• Provide financial partnership to the PnP & Spar team
• Assess investment opportunities and provide financial guidance and perspective to the Sales organization

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or any other related field (CIMA preferred)
• 3-5 years’ experience
• FMCG experience advantageous
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent financial modelling skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication, collaboration skills & prioritisation of key projects
