THE JOB

A client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mine Financial Accountant and Mine Cost Accountant to be based at a mine near Postmasburg in the Northern Cape. 2 positions.

DUTIES FOR MINE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor Degree Accounting (Required).

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 Years Financial Accounting Experience in a Mining Environment (Required);
• Valid Code B Driving License.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• System Skills: Microsoft Office and Accounting Systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support and participate in sub-functional change management to drive transformation and optimisation;
• Data integrity control;
• Identify improvement initiatives and team recognition;
• Implement compliance requirements;
• Plan, direct and assess quality management;
• Provide input into functional planning;
• Implementation of operational plans;
• Sub-functional resource utilisation;
• Sub-functional resource optimisation;
• Financial accounting and reporting;
• Business planning, forecasting and reporting;
• Capital expenditure control facilitation;
• Contribute to functional budget planning;
• Implement and manage approved budget;
• Relationship maintenance;

DUTIES FOR MINE COST ACCOUNTANT:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting (Required).

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Five (5) Years Cost Management Accounting Experience in a Mining Environment (Required);
• Valid Code B Driving License (Required).

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• System Skills: Microsoft Office, JDE, Qlikview and Oracle.
