• RCL FOODS has an opportunity available for a highly analytical and meticulous Financial Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the timeous and accurate completion of commissions and other financial reporting of 9 depots nationally. Responsible for the accurate posting and reconciliation of 10 cashbooks as well as PJ (creditors) and intercompany accounts.

Minimum Requirements    

•  BComm / BComm Hons Degree preferably Accounting/SAICA/SAIPA
•  Completed articles will be an advantage
•  3 years relevant experience in a similar role
•  Computer literate with an advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Duties & Responsibilities    
Depots:

• Commission calculations:
• Complete correctional internal journals for depots with regards to commission
• Submit commission calculations to depots for them to issue invoices
• Ensure invoices correct as per set criteria
• Commission Payments – complete internal cheques and submit for authorization
• Provide MIS Manager with commission journals for posting and business units for reporting

Cash Forecast:

• Calculate forecast monthly and submit to FM
• Actual cash payout submitted to financial department to ensure sufficient funds for pay out
• Calculation of depot fuel cost:
• Calculate rand per ton for each depot using fuel cost as per Department of Energy
• Merchandising cost for Logistics:
• Submit summary of depot costs to department to ensure correct service levels

GL recons:

• Reconciliation of all 9 depots GL accounts

Stock recons:

• Reconciliation to determine shortages and surpluses
• Send recons to depots for analysis of recons
• Recovery of shortages from depots if necessary
• Stock adjustments
• Reconcile pallet damages, warehouse damages and expired stock and recover from depots
• Queries
• Stock
• Accounts
• Reconciliations
• Logistics

Merchandising fees Vector:

• Ensure split correct and balance to invoice
• Journal splits
• Submit for posting on SYSPRO
• YTD confirmations on a monthly basis for sign off by Vector
• Create purchase orders
• Invoicing
• Travel Dynamics Account:
• Receive monthly invoices
• Receive monthly credit card statements
• Reconcile above mentioned and split according to traveler and expense group
• Submit for process and payment
• Accurate and timeous balancing of intergroup accounts for submission to FM
• Control and reconciliation of all PJ creditors accounts –
• Ensure accounts up to date
• Ensure timeous payments
• Ensure GRN’s done
• Ensure all queries resolved on time
• Ensure creditors systems and procedures in place
• 10 Cashbooks:
• Ensure all entries are correct
• Reconciliation
