A leading mining and civil construction company is looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper with strong experience in the mining or construction sector to join their team in Johannesburg South.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated financial professional to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency by managing daily transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and other financial accounts.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial reports and insights.
Assist with payroll processing.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper.
Demonstrated experience in the mining or construction sector is essential.
Proven track record in managing financial records and performing core accounting functions.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
High level of integrity, honesty, and reliability.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to work on-site at the company's Johannesburg South office.
