We are looking for the Accountant or Finance Specialist with 2-3 years of experience for a fixed- term contract to support our team and get new experience working in fast-paced environment. We have lots of interesting tasks and need someone who’s in love with numbers and systems, a measured yet passionate individual who’ll enjoy interacting and collaborating with different people across our great team, handling multiple tasks simultaneously whilst being a part of our Accounting & Finance team.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa and reporting to Veveka Boodhram, Sr. Financial Controller, as part of the role you will:

• Assist with full accounting function from general ledger to Income Statement, Balance Sheet and related reports
• Assist with vendor reconciliations
• Compile general ledger balance sheet reconciliations
• Process accounting journals
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Fixed Asset Register
• Assist with the external audit

What we’re looking for

• Relevant tertiary qualification essential – B.Com / B.Acc or similiar
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Microsoft Office skills
• Solid analytical skills
• Good business acumen

Bonus:

• Previous SAP / BI
