Accountants: Financial Reporting X02 at Greater Letaba Municipality

Annual Salary:

• R 400 381.40 (Excluding benefits)

Requirements:

• Grade 12. A minimum qualification of Diploma / Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 02 - 03 years relevant experience in Finance. Knowledge of local government legislations. MFMA certificate will be an added advantage. A valid driver's license.

Computer literacy:

• MS Office.

Purpose of the Job:

• Coordinates, plans, and implements the key performance areas and resulted indicators associated with financial reporting. Preparing statistical and narrative financial reports. Analysing and verifying financial statements and reports and interpreting financial solvency and stability. Reconciles, and analyzes in-year financial data to ensure compliance with financial frameworks like the MFMA and mSCOA. Tracking budget execution, preparing monthly budget statements such as Section 71 reports, and flag variances in revenue and expenditure. Performs monthly bank, cash book, and general ledger reconciliations. Preparing, and reconciling Value-Added Tax (VAT).
