Accountants Lead at Sage

Job Description 

The purpose of this role is to create and execute an accountants-led strategy to position Sage as the cloud leader within the Accountants Market. The goal is to increase cloud adoption within accounting practices and maximise revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•  To continue, enhance and develop the Accountants Program to support goals and strategy for the region.
• To coach, guide and manage Accountants Team Colleagues.
• Identifying and reporting on areas of threat and devise plans to overcome threats.
• Delivering accurate monthly, quarterly and annual statistical reporting.
• Working with Marketing to create collateral and content for Accountants.
• Developing day to day, communications to Accountants to ensure all relevant information shared timeously.
• Accountable for the growth of revenue and recruitment of Sage Accountants aligned with the regional VSGM.
• Collaborating with Marketing and supporting sales team to devise, execute and measure sales campaigns.
• Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of systems, processes & products relating to Accountants and their interactions with Sage.
• Collaborating with supporting teams to enhance and improve way of work.

Skill Requirements

• Strong industry knowledge of Accountants in Practice
• Above average persuasion and communication skills
• Good presentation skills – will be required to address large internal and external audiences
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships

• Leadership skills

Technical / Professional Qualifications

• Accounting qualification and minimum of 3 years exposure within an accounting practice.
• Senior Role with 2 years’ experience managing teams
• Registered Professional Accountant
• Solid background in Accounting and related systems
• Proven record managing a team
