We currently have a full-time, permanent employment opportunity available for a Accounting Practice Manager with the following minimum requirements:

Qualifications and General:

• National Senior Certificate;
• An accredited three (3) years' tertiary qualification in Accounting (An Houners or Masters Degree will be beneficial);
• Own reliable transport;
• Clear Criminal Record;
• Be avaible to work both remotely with a reliable internet connection and from the Osidon office as required.

Membership:

• Active membership in good standing at one of the accredited accounting bodies in South Africa as an Accounting Officer and Tax Practitioner.

Experience:

• At least three (3) years’ management experience in an accounting role.

Skills:

• You must must have excellent mathematical and analytical skills;
• You must be well organised;
• The ability to communicate effectively in English in verbal and written (includes electronic) format;
• Have management skills and leadership qualities to manage and lead a team of accountants or bookkeepers;
• You must be able to understand and use online accounting, payroll and tax software (e-filing) effectively.
• Have a keen eye for detail;
• Professionalism toward colleagues, clients and the profession;
• You must also have an excellent knowledge and understanding of South African Business, Tax Law and basic Employment Law;
• You must be able to work under pressure;
• Be able to work independently;
• Should be able to implement instructions effectively;
• You must be comfortable to adapt to change;
• Be focused on quality and accuracy;
• You will be required to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behaviour.

If your application is successful you will have the following responsibilities:

• You will lead and manage a team of Junior Accountants or Bookkeepers;
• You will be responsible to ensure that a professional and ethical service is delivered to clients and maintained within your team;
• Provide advise and support to clients on more advanced accounting, tax, HR and strategic financial matters;
• Report back to clients on their company’s financials;
• You will form part of a team that uses the latest technology and innovation to ensure professional service delivery;
• You will play a vital role in delivering a groundbreaking service to the SME business world;
• You will have the support of a team that has professional business experience and qualifications.
