Job Advert Summary    

• The Accounts clerk is responsible for processing and preparing financial data and reports up to general ledgers, performing account reconciliations and the management of various accounting activities as required.

Minimum Requirements    

• 3+ relevent years experience in an accountant role
• Accounting diploma 
• Experience in mining or manufacturing in the financial environment is advantageous
• Tax/ Vat experience is advantageous
• Driver’s license

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Ensure all accounting is in compliance with IFRS
• Assist with monthly GL account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Prepare journal entries as required for accurate financial closure at month end and year end
• Assist with the preparation reconciliation of intercompany balances and ensure accuracy of processing into the
• SAP GL clearing and housekeeping
• Stock Obsolescence printouts and journals processed
• Assist in Asset verifications and useful life processing
• Provide assistance and reports relating to Tax and Vat queries as
• Cash book processing
• Assist debtors with FI credits and debts
• Adhoc general accounting and administrative duties
