    Foreman Maintenance - C4

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment. The role provides technical guidance and supervision to the maintenance team, ensuring that preventative and corrective maintenance is executed to high standards of quality and safety. The position supports plant availability and production targets through effective planning, breakdown response, problem solving and continuous improvement of maintenance practices. The Maintenance Foreman also ensures that maintenance systems, procedures and reporting requirements are adhered to while fostering a disciplined, accountable and safety-focused maintenance team.
    • The Maintenance Foreman will be appointed as the Competent Person for the ICE Meyerton plant in accordance with the General Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1993.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Qualifications

    • A trade qualified Millwright, Electrician or Fitter & Turner
    • An Engineering Diploma in mechanical or electrotechnical (heavy current) fields with an academic qualification of at least N5 or T3.

    Experience

    • Proven plant maintenance experience across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation).
    • Demonstrated experience in maintenance coordination, supervision or acting foreman responsibilities will be advantageous.
    • Strong knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance systems and fault-finding practices.
    • Exposure to cement manufacturing processes and equipment will be advantageous.
    • Computer literacy in MS Office and maintenance management systems is essential.
    • Experience with PLC-based control systems, programming and fault finding (e.g. Siemens PLC environments) will be advantageous.
    • Specific equipment hands-on experience would be compulsory: Conveyor belts, Screw Conveyors, Pneumatic & Hydraulics, Bucket Elevators, Gearboxes, Ball Mills, Rotary Packers, Shrink Hood applicators, FANUC Robots or Palletizers, Weighing and other Instruments, Wet and Dry Mixers, In-line weighers
