Admin & General Accountant (One&Only - Cape Town) at Kerzner International

Key responsibilities: 

• Management of fixed asset register, controls over and reporting of fixed assets, capital expenditure processes & asset disposals; 
• Key role in daily and month-end accounting over various sub-processes; 
• Assistance with financial reporting to global head office and senior management; 
• Analysis of monthly results & ad hoc assistance to heads of department; 
• Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements and IFRS compliance; 
• Responsible for tax reporting and submissions; 
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual StatsSa and SARB reports; 
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts. 

Requirements: 

• Tertiary qualification with Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Taxation at a high level; 
• Completed SAIPA / SAICA articles an advantage; 
• Membership of an accredited accounting body an advantage; 
• Strong statutory financial accounting, reporting and tax knowledge and experience; 
• Prior working experience in management of a large fixed asset register; 
• Advanced computer literacy (advanced knowledge of MS Excel essential); 
• Comfortable interacting with internal clients at senior level; 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
• Accurate & attention to detail; 
• Deadline orientated.
