Administrative Assistant, Underwriting (Maternity Cover) at Reinsurance Group of America

Position Overview
An exciting position has become available for a well-groomed, self-motivated individual to join the Underwriting team in South Africa.
This is a 6 month contract position.
Responsibilities

• Accurate capturing of data
• Timeous processing of cases received
• Distributing cases to underwriters
• Accurate recording of daily statistics
• Verifying LOA and Astute records
• Assisting both internal and external clients with enquiries in a timeous and efficient manner
• Assisting in obtaining e-Warp and IQ monthly stats (on turnaround times, underwriting and ceding companies) and maintaining good client relationships.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• 2-3 years’ experience in an administration/clerical position in either the Insurance or Reinsurance industry
• Have sound computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook),
• Be accurate and give attention to detail
• Have the ability to multi-task
• Excellent numerical skills
• Have previous experience in dealing with clients telephonically
• Be a team-player
• Meet deadlines and be able to offer assistance with extended hours on an ad-hoc basis
• Be able to work under pressure
• Build good relationships with internal and external clients
• Deadline driven with effective time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as being a good team-player with excellent interpersonal skills
