Air Freight Exports Operations Team Leader at UPS

Job Summary
The Air Freight Exports Team Leader supports Air freight trade services, products, and operations. Incumbent is responsible for processing shipments for clients and carriers. This position assists with procedure development, compliance, and the distribution of performance reports. This position is also responsible for monitoring the Exports operations team.

Job Duties
Assists with Freight Operating Process and Procedure Development

• Assists in improving operations by ensuring operational processes are standardized and maintained by self and Air Operations Team for both import and exports within E2K and as per MOP’s in place.
• Assists with generating gateway and operational support measurements to monitor and improve processes.
• Assists in establishing and monitoring the necessary E2K and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure regulatory compliance within E2K.
• Assists in the development of actions plans to ensure improvement in E2E measurement and KPI’s for both self and Air Operations Team for exports.
• Constant contact where required with regards to customer updates.
• Daily / Weekly checklists to be pulled, monitored and sent to team on daily and weekly basis in order to drive KPI’s and E2E improvements.
• Communicate E2E (end to end visibility) failures with team and source reasons for failure.
• Monitor with the team loss making shipments in TEP.

Assists with Freight Trade Systems Documentation and Reporting

• Works with clients or carriers to facilitate the processing of shipments.
• Assists in the distribution of performance reports to appropriate parties to ensure performance awareness.
• Produces statistical reports for senior freight management to determine lane activity and growth opportunities.
