A specialist advanced materials and colour technology manufacturer is seeking an Analytical Chemist to support production, R&D, engineering and new product introduction activities within a highly technical manufacturing environment.
This role requires a scientifically strong individual with proven experience in analytical method development, complex investigations, formulation optimisation and laboratory governance. You will lead technical problem-solving initiatives, support continuous improvement projects, and translate analytical data into practical production and quality solutions.
You will conduct advanced analytical testing, investigate non-conformances, validate formulations, support process optimisation and contribute to the implementation of new technologies and analytical systems across QC and R&D functions.
Minimum Requirements
MSc in Chemistry or Polymer Science
Minimum 4 years’ experience within coatings, polymers, specialty chemicals, pigments, or related manufacturing environments
Strong experience in analytical method development and validation
Advanced instrument troubleshooting capability
Strong statistical analysis and advanced MS Excel proficiency
Experience supporting laboratory governance, specifications, SOPs, and quality systems
Strong analytical thinking, technical leadership, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving capability are essential.
