    Area Sales Manager

    About the job
    Role Purpose

    • Responsible for driving sales in the Northern Limpopo Region of South Africa


    Key Responsibilities and Tasks

    •  Ensures sales goals are achieved in the Northern Limpopo region.
    •  Foster sustainable relationships with distribution companies and growers
    •  Provide accurate and timely forecasts
    •  Take responsibility for creating and communicating the Bayer value proposition to distributors and growers
    •  Assist the marketing team in compiling GTM plans
    •  Be the face of Bayer on farmer and distribution level
    •  Identify opportunities in the market and take full advantage
    •  Actively calls on key accounts and assists sales force where appropriate


    Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

    •  University degree in Agriculture (Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Plant Production)
    •  Fluent in Afrikaans and English (Read and Wright)
    •  Experience working on Citrus, Potatoes, Macadamia, Avocado and vegetable production systems
    •  AVCASA
    •  Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    •  Leadership skills
