    Art Director (Retail)

    Position Overview:

    As a Retail Art Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and creative direction of our retail brand’s campaigns. You will form part of a team of Art Directors and Copywriters to create compelling in-store experiences, that run across digital and print, resonates with our brand's vision and engage customers. Our studio is an ego free environment, with a dedicated, reliable, and friendly culture.

    Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

    • Design Leadership: Develop and maintain the visual design strategy for our retail spaces, ensuring it aligns with the overall brand identity and message
    • Team Management: Each member is required to inspire the team by providing creative direction, mentorship, and constructive feedback to drive their professional growth and achieve design excellence
    • Conceptualization: Generate innovative design concepts and oversee their implementation, including store displays, POS, digital, and promotional materials
    • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, client, and creative director teams to understand their objectives and translate them into effective visual campaigns and in-store displays
    • Trend Awareness: Keep abreast with advertising trends (within industry best practice), emerging technologies, and design innovations in the retail space, integrating relevant ideas into your work and share with the team

    Qualifications

    Qualifications/Experience/Skill:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification is Art Direction or Graphic Design
    • Proficient if Office 365 (i.e. Teams/SharePoint/PowerPoint etc.)
    • Proficient in design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience as an Art Director in an Advertising Agency
    • TTL experience is essential
    • Well versed in Digital
    • Knowledge of retail industry trends and customer behaviour
    • Proven experience working on retail clients
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong project management skills (able to work across multiple projects at any given time)
    • An online portfolio showcasing a diverse range of retail design projects
