Artisan (Plumber) - Water and Sanitation at City of Tshwane

Application Requirements:

• An appropriate trade certificate as a Plumber (Red Seal).
• At least two years of relevant experience in a municipal water network maintenance environment.
• A valid Code C1 driving license with a valid PrDP.
• Physical fitness and good health.
• Ability to perform physical work related to operation and maintenance activities for extended periods.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and standby when required.

Primary Functions:

• Repair water leaks, including locating services and pipelines.
• Conduct maintenance on water meters.
• Upgrade the water network.
• Excavate identified areas using workers or mechanical equipment.
• Repair located leaks, backfill trenches to set standards, and clean the site.
• Perform general administrative tasks, including the completion of timesheets.
