The Asset Care Scheduler is responsible for administering and optimising the maintenance work management process within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The role coordinates and leads the weekly maintenance scheduling process, ensuring effective communication and alignment with key stakeholders and the timely release of scheduled work orders. The Asset Care Scheduler drives focused improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and defect elimination, to enhance asset reliability and operational performance. The position supports the development of asset maintenance strategies and programs, monitors equipment performance and reliability, ensures technical documentation is maintained in line with company standards, supports master data governance, and facilitates spares requisitions to enable efficient and reliable maintenance execution.
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (BTech, BEng, N-certificate).
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Planner or Maintenance Scheduler.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a computerised maintenance management system (SAP, On Key, Maximo, etc)
Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Duties & Responsibilities
Administer the maintenance work management process in the computerised maintenance management system.
Focused Improvement interventions:
Coordinate and lead the weekly maintenance scheduling meeting.
Communicate the agreed weekly maintenance schedule to all key stakeholders and release the scheduled maintenance work orders.
Root Cause Analysis (Defect Elimination).
Asset maintenance strategy/tactics development.
Maintenance programs.
Equipment performance and reliability monitoring:
Administration of technical manuals and documents as per company standards.
Support the master data change process.
Generate spares requisitions via the computerised maintenance management system.
