Assistant Credit Manager - Hopetown at OVK - Group

Main purpose of the position:

Credit lending and maintaining administrative tasks related to client financing for the OVK Group.

Minimum Requirements:              

• Grade 12; with preferably Maths and Accounting as subjects,
• Appropriate B Degree or Diploma will be advantageous;
• Credit lending – at least 3 years experience;
• Valid driver's license.
• Previous exposure in an Agricultural Financing enviroment will be advantageous;
• Proper knowledge on applicable legislation in a credit finance environment.

Skills:

• Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
• Computer literate (MS word, Excel);
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Good people skills;
• Numeric skills.
• Analytical sense and solid problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Credit Manager and maintain Administration on an ongoing basis;
• Credit lending to existing OVK members and staff;
• Take down applications for credit and analyse available information;
• Evaluate applicants credit worthiness;
• Manage the portfolio in cooperation with the Credit manager.
