Assistant Director: Treasury & Investments Management at The Department of Employment and Labour

REQUIREMENTS:          

• Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognized by SAQA in Finance/Investment Management/Financial Economics/Financial Accounting. 4 Years functional experience in a Treasury / Finance / Investment Management / Financial Accounting environment of which 2 years should be at a senior state accountant level or a supervisory level.
• Knowledge: Policy Conceptualisation and Formulation (Compensation Fund policies, procedures and process). Knowledge of relevant regulations, laws and legislation (COIDA, PAIA, PSA, PSR, POPIA). Investment strategy & Planning. Professional Accounting Standards (GRAP/GAAP/IFRS). Treasury Policies and PFMA Regulations (Legislative Framework). Forecasting & Projections. Financial Risk Management and Control.
• Financial Compliance. Information Processing. Financial Markets and Instrument (Financial Analysis). Digital Acumen (Financial Systems, Tools). GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and King IV Requirements (Corporate Governance). Legislative Requirements: COIDA.

• Review the reports on the position and performance of the investment portfolios.
