    Assistant Manager Nursing (PB-B4): Mother, Child, Women, Youth and Health (MCWYH)

    Requirements

    • SANC as a Professional Nurse (2025).  A post-basic nursing qualification, with a duration of at least 1 year, accredited with the SANC in Paediatric / Child Care / PHC / Advanced Midwifery.
    • A minimum of ten (10) years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in general nursing.
    • At least six (6) years of the period referred to above must be appropriate / recognisable experience in the Specific Specialty after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification in the relevant specialty. At least three (3) years of the period referred to above must be appropriate / recognisable experience at management level. 

    Duties

    • To coordinate and support the implementation of Mother, Child, Women, Youth and Health (MCWYH) Programmes.
    • Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of Maternal and Child Health Programmes.
    • Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the Integrated Nutrition Programme. Ensure the implementation of national and provincial policies.
    • Facilitate the provision of adequate woman, and youth health care services. Facilitate the provision of adequate and safe maternal and child health care services.
    • Facilitate the improvement of standards of health care for women and youth.
      Facilitate the improvement of standards of health care for maternal and child health. 
    •  Render advice and technical support services to the district. Monitor and evaluate the impact of implementation of policies and guidelines.
    • Coordinate the implementation of National and Provincial INP policies and guidelines.
    • Plan and coordinate INP Services. Monitor and evaluate INP Services. Coordinate the implementation of poverty alleviation projects.
