Assistant Payroll and Benefits Administration Professional
A relevant three-year tertiary qualification/ diploma in payroll administration
Two (2) to three(3) years’ relevant experience in a payroll and benefits environment
Working knowledge of SAP-based payroll administration would be advantageous
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Performance Areas
Coordinate the administration of and/or payments regarding all appointments, terminations, staff movements and benefits
Render high level support service to the payroll and benefits administration professional, line management and the City of Cape Town
Supervise the maintenance of staff records, ensuring adherence to all policies, systems and procedures relating to the payroll and benefits administration services and implementation of the SAP system
Liaise, advise and assist internal and external clients on payroll and benefits administration matters
Ensure that unresolved general ledger reconciliations are investigated thoroughly and are accurate and complete also advise on appropriate interventions and their implementation
Coordinate the processing of all appointments, promotions, terminations, overtime and payments transactions
Coordinate the maintenance of the payroll cycle and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Quality assurance of all payroll and benefits administration services.
