Assistant SCM Practitioner - Financial Services at Drakenstein Municipality

JOB PURPOSE:

• Responsible for performing and executing tender evaluation activities by applying administrative procedures when opening and evaluating tenders received against compliance requirements and to perform specific administrative activities as well as the safekeeping of tenders in order in order to give effect to the provisions of the Municipal Finance Management Act.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

• A relevant 3-year Tertiary qualification, preferably in SCM / Logistics / Procurement.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

• Minimum competency requirements or obtain in 18 months from appointment
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Communication skills
• Numerical skills
• Confidentiality
• Proficiency in at least two (2) of the official languages of the Western Cape of which one must be English

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-5 years relevant experience required.
