Job Description

• A well-established wine estate is looking for an energetic and professional Assistant Tasting Room Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will assist with managing daily tasting room operations, leading the team, driving wine sales, and ensuring excellent guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with managing all tasting room operations
• Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
• Conduct and oversee wine tastings and guest experiences
• Assist with stock control, cash handling, and sales reporting
• Support recruitment, training, and scheduling of tasting room staff
• Build relationships with guests, hotels, restaurants, and local businesses
• Coordinate and assist with special events and functions
• Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance of the tasting room
• Assist with achieving sales targets and operational goals
• Handle guest queries and complaints professionally
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times

 Job Requirements:

• Matric certificate
• Hospitality Diploma or related qualification
• Wine qualification or WSET certificate will be advantageous
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
• Experience within hospitality, wine, or tasting room operations preferred
• Good computer, administration, and POS system skills
• Strong understanding of customer service and wine sales
