Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer: Technology Education at University of Limpopo

Requirements:

• A teaching qualification. 
• A Doctorate (PhD) degree in Technology Education. 
• At least five (5) years of teaching experience at a tertiary level. 
• B.Ed. Honours in Electrical Technology will be an added advantage. 
• Ability to provide supervision of doctoral, masters and honours students. 
• A minimum of 5 SAPSE accredited journal articles for the position of Associate Professor. 
• Strong leadership and good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Experience in developing curricula, especially in Technology Education. 
• Have a valid driver’s licence.

• The applicant should be able to work as part of a team, and yet also take initiative in research projects and contribute to the development of programmes offered in the Department. 

Duties:
The incumbent will be required to: 

• Initiate and develop curriculum and course materials in Technology Education 
• Coordinate modules in Technology Education. 
• Contribute towards the Department’s transformational and strategic goals. 
• The preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars. 
• Conduct tutorials, demonstrations, workshops for students and staff. 
• Participate in academic administration such as attendance at departmental, school and /or faculty meetings. 
• Consultation, supervision and teaching of students at postgraduate and undergraduate level.
