We have an amazing opportunity for an Athletics Club Coordinator. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?

The position will be responsible in carrying out all administration duties related to the Athletics Club. To promote and encourage growth of the club through new member applications and participation in events. To manage the day to day duties involved in managing an athletics club as well as weekend events. To grow the Hollywood brand with in the athletics community and ensure we are represented at both a social level and competitive level of athletics.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Athletics experience

What You’ll Do For The Brand:

• Administrative tasks for the club.
• Draft a constitution that is in line with the KZN Athletics constitution.
• Create a committee and set up relevant meetings throughout the year.
• Recruit new members.
• Register new members with our club and the union for their licenses.
• Find races for members to participate in.
• Set up stations at weekly runs.
• Sort our water stations and volunteers for races.
• Market the AC- create social media content for Devin.
• Set up branding at the finishes of all races for club members to sit and socialise after the race.
• Record weekly attendance and results for submission to the website.
• Create challenges and motivation for club members to participate in and encourage attendance.
• Register the club in other provinces and manage those athletes and events from a distance.
• Communicate with KZN Athletics regarding new members and licenses.
• Coach our “Elite Team” ensure they are participating in specific events and are well looked after and managed.
• Communicate with Newspapers, magazines etc. to encourage them to interview our athletes or club members.
• Liaise with other coaches, race directors, and clubs pushing our club and brand and integrating us into the athletics environment.
• All communication with members about anything with the club.
• Set up the GP and Limp athletics clubs.
