Automation Engineer (Fixed-term Contract) - Ict Data And Analytics Services Department at FSCA South Africa

Purpose of the Job: 

To design, build, implement, maintain, expand, and optimize the automation of processes and tasks using the Microsoft Power Automate Platform including AI and RPA based automations. Work with business analysts to identify new process and task candidates for automation. The person appointed to this position will report directly to Senior Specialist: Data and Analytics.

Key Performance Areas:

•  Design and built processes and task automated;
•  Design and implement procedures and standards with regards to automation management;
•  Provide support to team members and automation usage customers with regards to process and task automation; 
•  Develops a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise solution portfolio from current to future state, as defined by the solutions architecture.
•  Works closely with the program management office (PMO) to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project   lifecycle.
•  Design and implement effective data solutions to store, retrieve, integrate and migrate of company data.
•  Prepare accurate data asset design and architecture reports for management and executive teams; and
•  Recommend solutions to improve new and existing data systems.

The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Active listening, Critical thinking, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and pay attention to detail. The following abilities are a must for the position, expert knowledge of various backend development languages and database technologies like .net & SQL. Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and different modeling languages is an added advantage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Automation Engineer / Developer, experience using Agile and Waterfall Development methodologies, developing automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate Flows and Desktop, Power Platform AI Builder, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint and OpenText eDocs, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Integration Brokers, legacy Line of Business Applications integration, API Integration etc.
