BI Model Developer (SSAS) at Flash Group

Job Role:

• Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions. Crafting and executing Tabular Models for business users and PowerBI Reporting for data driven decision making.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience working as a BI Developer or similar role.
• 4-5 Years’ experience in a BI environment (Language: Transact SQL, MDX and DAX)
• 2+ years’ experience in database design, schema design, data model and data solutions
• 2+ years’ experience in SSIS, SSAS
• 2+ Years experience in Visual Studio

Specific requirements:

• Hands on experience as a Tabular Model developer
• Experience working with dataset ingestion
• Experience in defining Table relationships
• Experience in Tabular Model Workspaces and security
• Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set to build Measures
• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative measures for insights

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Helps business users to obtain meaningful business metrics by different dimensions/entities
• Tabular Models development and administration
• Connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
• Defining Basic Calculations with DAX
• Using DAX to Build Calculations Based on Relationships
• Creating KPI’s from Business Rules
• Deploying and Testing of Tabular Models
• Creating Roles for user access & security
• Creating Partitions based on business rules & archiving strategy
• Responsible for design methodology and documentation of Tabular Models.
• Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
• Keep up with the latest Tabular Model functionalities in the industry.
